About Meva1 Mühendislik — A Turkish Engineering Firm Built Around Seismic Safety

Who we are

Meva1 Mühendislik ve İnşaat is an independent Turkish engineering and construction company founded by civil engineers with field experience across earthquake-prone regions of Anatolia. The firm was established to bring code-grade structural engineering, transparent documentation and disciplined site execution to the everyday housing stock, not only to landmark projects.

Today the company combines design, supervision and contracting capabilities, and works directly with property owners, cooperatives, developers and institutional clients on building strengthening and new construction across Turkey.

Engineering culture and licensing

Our engineers are licensed by the Turkish Chamber of Civil Engineers (İMO) and registered with the Ministry of Environment, Urbanisation and Climate Change for risky-building reporting and supervision tasks. Project leads hold authorisations for urban transformation work under Law 6306 and for earthquake analysis per TBDY 2018.

The culture inside the office is closer to a design studio than a typical contractor. Every drawing is peer-reviewed, calculations are version-controlled and field decisions are escalated to the responsible structural engineer.

Service scope and client portfolio

Meva1 has delivered turnkey construction projects, retrofit packages and consultancy mandates for residential blocks, schools, industrial facilities and mixed-use developments. Many recent engagements involve in-place transformation of mid-rise apartment buildings, where occupants stay while the structure is reinforced.

In-house laboratory and quality control

A distinguishing feature of Meva1 is its own building materials laboratory, where concrete, rebar, masonry and aggregate samples are tested to TS EN standards. Laboratory results feed directly into the structural calculations used for seismic performance analysis, removing dependency on third-party turnaround times.

This vertical integration is one of the reasons our project management and consultancy services can guarantee tighter feedback loops between design assumptions and verified material properties.
